This was my pick for second place in the J Allen Art Studio Mountain Contest. This image is all about light. The highlight on the clouds at the peak, the mid-mountain highlight, and the background cloud highlights all combine to make an incredible warm composition! There is just enough negative space that your eyes are drawn to The Matterhorn, focusing on the little details in the rocks and the orange and purple glows on the snow. Beautiful shot!
